TeensChat

Room rules

Simple rules that keep #teens friendly. Ops enforce them.

The short version

Be kind. Keep it clean. Keep yourself and others safe.

The #teens room follows the LibraIRC network rules plus the rules below. Operators can mute, kick or ban anyone who breaks them.

Who can join #teens

  • #teens is for people aged 13 to 19. Under 13? Please don't use TeensChat.
  • Adults may not use #teens to meet or contact teens. The only adults in the room are staff, there to moderate.
  • Lying about your age to get in is a reason to be banned.

Room rules

  1. No sexual content — no sexual talk, links, images or requests, in the room or in private messages.
  2. No asking for personal details — not someone's real name, age-and-location, address, school, phone, socials or photos.
  3. No bullying or hate — no insults, threats, slurs, or ganging up on anyone.
  4. No dating or “picking” people — TeensChat is for friendship, not hook-ups.
  5. No spam or advertising — no flooding, invites to other servers or apps, or self-promotion.
  6. No drugs, alcohol, weapons or self-harm content — if you're struggling, ask for help instead (see the safety page).
  7. Keep it mostly English in #teens so the ops can help everyone.
  8. Listen to the ops. If you disagree with a decision, ask politely in #help afterwards.

Zero tolerance

Anyone who tries to sexualise, groom or exploit a minor is banned from the whole network immediately, and serious cases are reported to the relevant authorities.
